“Therefore turn in prayer to your Lord and sacrifice (to Him only).” (108:2)(AS). Muslims around the globe sacrifice animals during Eid ul Adha and enjoy the meat with families and friends. While most of us enjoy meat frequently, many families look forward to this one holiday to have fresh meat on their plates. For many people affected by cyclone Yaas in Shatkhira, refugees in the Rohingya camps, and currently distressed people due to COVID pandemic, this is the only time in the year when they are able to eat meat. In Quran Allah swt says,
meat will not reach Allah, nor will their blood, but what reaches Him is piety from you.” Surah Al Hajj, 22:37
