Bangladesh is currently facing severe flooding, worsened by the release of water from upstream dams and barrages in India. Heavy monsoon rains have caused water levels in Indian rivers to rise rapidly, forcing authorities to release the excess water, which is now flowing downstream into Bangladesh. Thousands of people have been displaced, and the damage to homes, crops, and infrastructure is extensive. Cities like Sylhet, Habiganj, Comilla, Noakhali, Feni, and many others are experiencing sudden floods, with the situation in Feni being particularly dire. Please stand with our flood-affected brothers and sisters during this challenging time. Your support can make a difference.
NABIC has initiated emergency relief efforts, including the distribution of dry food, cooked meals, and food packages. Our current focus is on aiding in the reconstruction of homes destroyed by the floods. We are committed to helping families return to safe and stable living conditions. In addition to housing support, we are also working on income-generating activities, small business grants, training, and agricultural recovery programs to assist these communities in rebuilding their lives.
