Ustaz Abdul Rashid Umar is an exuberant Islamic teacher whose  passion is teaching The Noble Quran. He is the founder and President of Markaz-al- Qira’aat and the Markaz Umar Farouq LiTahfiz-al-Quran. Both schools focuses on teaching the various Riwaayat/styles of Recitation as well as Tawheed (creed) Fiqhi (Islamic jurisprudence), Lugha (Arabic language) and many more.

Ustaz Abdul Rashid is currently the Imaam and Khatib of Masjid Sidiki in The Bronx, NY. His humble and kind personality has earned him the trust of the youth. His style of lectures incorporates detailed account of the Quran and sunnah has gained him audience world wide.
