NABIC Announces New Board of Directors for 2026–2029 Term

MEMPHIS, TN — The North American Bangladeshi Islamic Community (NABIC) has announced its newly elected Board of Directors and Executive Committee for the 2026–2028 session.

The leadership team is led by Dr. Arifa C. Rahman as President, alongside Dr. Nazif Ahmed Chowdhury as Vice President, Mohammad Huq (Jewel) as Treasurer, and Fazle Elahi Chowdhury continuing as Executive Director.

The newly appointed Board of Directors includes:

• Pear M. Enam, MD, FACG
• Akhter Hossain
• Sohel Rahman
• Mainul Khan, PE
• Enamul Hamid

Bringing together medical specialists, engineers, and community leaders, the new board will oversee NABIC’s humanitarian and development initiatives in healthcare, education, clean water, and poverty alleviation across North America and Bangladesh for the next two years
