DIABARI, DHAKA — To provide essential eye care services to underprivileged and low-income community members, a day-long free eye camp was successfully conducted on October 29 at the DMCK 34 Health Center in Diabari, Uttara. The humanitarian camp was jointly organized and implemented by the Bangladesh Eye Care Society and Do Better for the Children (DBC).
Throughout the camp, specialized medical teams conducted comprehensive eye screenings and consultations for approximately 100 local residents. Based on individual diagnoses, patients received necessary prescription medicines and corrective eyeglasses free of charge. In addition, 17 patients diagnosed with cataracts were identified and selected for fully sponsored, complimentary cataract surgeries.
