Inaugural Eye Camp at Mohammadpur Idris Chemon Center Restores Sight and Delivers Essential Eye Care to Local Residents
Dedicated to restoring vision and eliminating preventable blindness among underserved populations, the North American Bangladeshi Islamic Community (NABIC) has conducted a specialized free eye care camp under its Prevent Blindness Project at the Mohammadpur Idris Chemon Center.
Throughout the camp, an experienced ophthalmic medical team provided comprehensive vision screenings, specialized consultations, and necessary medications to 120 underprivileged patients. Following thorough clinical evaluations, 30 patients diagnosed with advanced cataracts underwent successful surgical procedures completely free of cost to restore their sight.
Through this targeted healthcare drive under the Prevent Blindness Project, NABIC continues its commitment to curbing avoidable vision loss, elevating quality of life, and making specialized medical care directly accessible to marginalized urban communities
