NABIC Distributes Water Tanks to 50 Coastal Families

To support access to safe drinking water in the salinity-prone coastal belt, humanitarian organization North American Bangladeshi Islamic Community (NABIC) distributed free water storage tanks to 50 vulnerable families in Gabura, Satkhira.

At a ceremony held on Wednesday (September 30) at Burigoalini Forest Secondary School grounds, each family received a 1,000-liter rainwater harvesting tank. Local Union Parishad Chairman G.M. Masudul Alam and community representatives attended the handover.

The initiative equips climate-vulnerable households to capture and store seasonal rainwater, securing reliable, year-round safe drinking water for their families.
