NABIC Initiates Safe Drinking Water Project in Kanaighat, Sylhet
Deep Tube Well Installation Underway to Provide Clean and Safe Drinking Water to 50 Coastal Families in Sylhet
KANAIGHAT, SYLHET — Addressing the urgent need for safe drinking water, the North American Bangladeshi Islamic Community (NABIC) has launched its Safe Water Project in Kanaighat Upazila under Sylhet District. As part of this vital community initiative, the installation of a deep tube well is currently underway, successfully drilling down to a depth of 800 feet to reach safe, uncontaminated water layers.
Once completed, this deep tube well will directly serve approximately 50 surrounding families, eliminating the daily hardship of fetching water from distant sources and safeguarding the local community against waterborne diseases. This initiative reflects NABIC’s ongoing commitment to building sustainable water infrastructure and improving public health in underserved regions across Bangladesh.
