400 Children Receive NABIC’s Monthly Cash Aid in August
Under the “Child Sponsorship Project,” NABIC Launch a 3-Year Support Initiative Providing Cash Aid, Education Kits, and Livelihood Support in Coastal Gabura
GABURA, SATKHIRA — To protect vulnerable children and support impoverished coastal households in Gabura Union, the North American Bangladeshi Islamic Community (NABIC), in partnership with Brotee, has initiated a monthly cash assistance program under the “Child Sponsorship Project.”
Inaugurated on August 18 at Brotee’s Burigoalini office in the presence of local field officials, the 3-year project provides regular monthly cash support along with essential educational materials and clothing to ensure uninterrupted schooling for children from 400 underprivileged families.
Building on NABIC’s 16-year humanitarian presence in the region, the initiative also fosters long-term self-reliance through livelihood support—such as livestock rearing, small businesses, and tailoring—alongside home repairs, safe water access, and community healthcare services.
