Mr. Ahsanul Huq, President, NABIC
Mr. Ahsanul Huq is an Industrial Engineer, currently working as a Management Consultant in Houston, Texas. He is adjunct faculty and management trainer at the University of Houston – CL. He was an employee of GE, Honeywell, Compaq, and Technip USA. Mr. Huq is a NABIC Life Member since 2013. He has coordinated NABIC 2007 and 2013 Annual Conventions in Houston, TX. He also organized NABIC’s Strategic Planning Meeting in 2007. He is currently serving as Outreach Coordinator and was Sunday Islamic School Principal of Masjid Al-Salam (a part of Islamic Society of Greater Houston), in Houston.

Lutfi Karim, Immediate Past President, NABIC
Lutfi Karim was born in the United States and studied at The City University of New York and New Jersey Institute of Technology. Lutfi is active in his local community, where he is involved with community development, social services for under-served populations, and youth activity.
Fazle Elahi Chowdhury, Executive Director, NABIC
Mr. Fazle Chowdhury has been serving as NABIC’s Executive Director since 2012. He holds an MS in Biochemistry and received a second MS in health administration from the University of Memphis, TN. Mr. Chowdhury is currently providing administrative services to Sleep & Pulmonary Specialists in Memphis, TN. Mr. Chowdhury is actively involved in many social activities including the refugee settlement program, and also served as the president of the Muslim society of Memphis.
Pear Enam, MD, FACG, Member, Board of Directors, NABIC
Dr. Pear M. Enam is a Gastroenterologist, Board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology, and a fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology.
He is the President of the group practice “Gastroenterology Associates” which has served the Washington County and tri-state area since 1992.
Dr. Enam previously served as Chief of Medicine, Washington County Hospital, Chief of Division of Gastroenterology, Meritus Medical Center, and Medical Director of Endoscopy Center at Robinwood (ECR) multiple times.
He served as Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Islamic Society of Western Maryland (ISWMD) in the past and is currently serving as its member. Dr. Enam served as Vice President as well as President of NABIC in the past.
Dr. Enam was instrumental in starting the NABIC Center for Humanity (NCH) project. NCH currently has 14 Healthcare and Training centers in Bangladesh, serving the financially disadvantaged population in metropolitan areas, remote villages, and islands.
In 2016 Dr. Enam along with a few members of the local community started a charity called “Hagerstown Community for Humanity” (OurHCH.org) which provides nonperishable food items, personal care items, and prepares meals periodically to the homeless and financially disadvantaged population of the local community. Physician members of the group make a presentation on important health topics in the local library and see patients without charge when referred by the local free medical clinic. He has been serving as the President of HCH since its inception.
As recognition of his efforts to help the community, he was presented with Community Service Award by Maryland Governor Honorable Larry Hogan and United Maryland Muslim Council in April 2018 and Community Service award for 2015 by the BDesh Foundation, a Virginia based philanthropic organization.

Mr. Akhter Hossain is A retired US Coast Guard Chief engineer of Washington office. He has Serving ADAMS community for decades. He is the Current chair of ADAMS Sully masjid management committee. He is also NABIC greater Washington area committee chairperson and serving NABIC from the beginning of NABIC greater Washington area local committee
Sohel Rahman, Member, Board of Directors, NABIC
Sohail Rahman is a devoted individual working with NABIC for four years. Sohail has played a pivotal role in the New York chapter, organizing impactful events. Additionally, Sohail has achieved success as an App Manager at Citi Group in a decorating 23 years long career in IT. As a proud father of three daughters, Sohail Rahman balance professional and personal life with grace. Sohail Rahman pursued his studies at CUNY, combining academic knowledge with practical experience. Residing in Elmont, New York, Sohail Rahman brings his passion, dedication, and versatile skill set to make a positive difference in his community and beyond
