Dr. Munir Quddus is the Dean of the College of Business and Professor of Economics at Prairie View A&M University, where he also serves as Executive Director of both the Small Business Development Center and the Center for International Business Education. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Vanderbilt University, where his research focused on speculative bubbles and food markets during the 1974 Bangladesh famine. Over his distinguished academic career, Dr. Quddus has taught a wide range of economics and business courses at both graduate and undergraduate levels in the U.S. and internationally. He has authored a book on Bangladesh’s garment export industry and received several prestigious awards, including a Fulbright, the Berger Faculty Community Service Award, and multiple Dean’s Excellence in Research Awards. He actively contributes to regional economic development initiatives and serves on various university and community boards.
