NABIC Corona Virus response Fund

The coronavirus is being spread at an alarming rate throughout the world. There is currently no vaccine to prevent COVID-19. A large number of people in Bangladesh are being affected by this day by day as the country remains on lockdown.

Health Hygiene in Rohingya Camp: Provide hand soap & face masks to Rohingya families in Camp 16, where there are around 6,000 to 7,000 families. NABIC is aiming to provide a bag filled with 1 hand soap & 2 face masks for each family with the cost of $1. We will also distribute health hygiene bags from NABIC-supported hospitals & charitable clinics. We will need $6K to support this project.

Food Distribution in Dhaka: Collect and distribute food bags consisting of non-perishable food items, enough for 2 weeks, including rice, lentils, oil, onion, sugar, salt, flour, and potatoes to 2,500 families in Dhaka. These bags will be distributed among people who live from hand to mouth like day laborers and rickshaw pullers. The distribution will focus on the bosti (বস্তি) area, rickshaw (রিক্সা) garages in the areas of Bashabo, Rampura, and nearby localities. One bag will cost $10. We will need $25K to support this project, food for 2500 families.

As low as $10 can provide a bag to support a family for two weeks!

Support in North America: In North America, we are working with local organizations and groups that are providing support for the poor, elderly, and ill through food and hygiene supply packages. We will need $1K each for 4 cities.
